It seems that a lot of my friends are his friends as well and his daring act came from very young age till now. Anyway since i don’t know him personally, i better not judge from 3rd party view but i salute him to have branded himself to all Malaysians within a day or 2!

Pity the rich and famous friends i have are all in Malaysia so i can’t tell all the exclusive stories of how they do it here! But of course, it’s not up to Jho Low’s standard!

But reading Jho’s interview is instructive nevertheless. There’s a lot to learn from him. So here are a few lessons from the 28 years of Jho Lo’s existence:

1. Always go to the best schools eg Harrow, Wharton. So all you people who have to go to all those decrepit sekolah kebangsaans where you only speak BM or Mandarin or Tamil, too bad.

2. When at school, pick your friends carefully. Make sure they are scions of the rich and famous. Forget about the scholarship kids.

3. Stay close to your friends and always make them feel good about themselves. This way, they are sure to trust you. Trust is very important.

4. Make sure you know how to do anything for your friends. Book tables at fancy restaurants and clubs, throw wild parties, order champagne, procure friends who are also rich and famous.

5. Bunk in with friends who can pay USD100,000 for a New York apartment. Never mind if you have to sleep on the couch, the address matters!! (12 people in a 5000-square feet apartment…they all slept in bunks or what?)

6. Be so busy arranging things for your friends that you only have time to eat supersized American meals. But who cares if you’re chubby if your wallet seems to be too!

7. Tell everyone how you made your first million at 20 and are now making billions for other people. How exactly, you don’t have to say. But it’s enough to make more people want to throw more money at you. (Never mind that the finance industry is the most derided right now because of the numbers of people it has impoverished. Not the New York party boys of course!)

8. Get a tame local newspaper to do a free four-page ad for you and make sure they ask you only the questions you want them to ask. Don’t let them ask you the questions just about everybody wants to know, like how DO you organise these parties?

9. Insist you’re a Malaysian through and through but make no mention of any Malaysian friends. Guess partying in KL or Penang ain’t quite the same…

There you go, boys and girls, how to succeed in life the Jho Lo way!!

Introduction
This document describes the official rules (“Official Rules”) of the Penang Science Council Logo and Mascot Design Contest (the “Contest”), organized by the Penang Science Council (“PSC”). The aim of this contest is to design a logo and mascot for the Penang Science Council, which is a collaboration between the Penang State Government and the Industry. Information on how to enter and prize details can be found in the Official Rules section. To the extent of any inconsistency, these Official Rules prevail.

Tagline
“Inspiring Innovation.” This tagline should be the theme for the logo and mascot of Penang Science Council.

Definitions:
“Entry” means a logo design created by the Entrant for this Contest.
“Entrant” means the individual who submits an Entry under the terms of this Contest.

Eligibility:
1. The Contest is open only to individuals. The Contest is not open to companies, educational institutions, organizations, etc, or to groups associated with such institutions.
2. Committee Members of the Penang Science Council (PSC), the contest judges and their immediate families are not eligible to enter the Contest.
3. Entrants must be of sufficient legal age and standing to enter into a contract with PSC as required below.
How to Enter:
1. Initial entries must be submitted by email to logo@bizwiseconsult.com. Entries must be submitted as a scalable vector graphic in EPS format, or as a JPG file. Please see the Submission Guidelines below for further information.
2. The email submitted by Entrant must include: - name, age, postal address, phone number and email address of the Entrant.
3. No more than 3 Entries may be submitted by any one Entrant.
4. Entries must conform to the Submission Guidelines set out below. Entries which fail to do so will be rejected.
5. The deadline for Entries is midnight (one minute after 2359) on 07 June 2010.
6. The PSC logo contest organizing committee will not be responsible for entries or responses lost in transit.
7. There is no fee required to enter the Contest.
8. Hand drawn entries will also be accepted. Submissions must be posted or hand delivered to:

Submission Guidelines
The aim of the contest is to design a logo and mascot for the Penang Science Council. The winning logo and mascot will be used online, in print, on marketing campaigns and events. Flexibility is a key requirement, including the ability to re-size easily and to look good in black and white, as well as in colour. The final version of the logo will need to be suitable for high quality printing.

While the logo needs to look good at relatively small sizes, it will not need to be shrunk for use as a Favicon.
Because of the requirement to register the logo as trademark, Entrants should take care to ensure that their Entries are not in any way similar to existing logos or other copyrighted images. A logo that cannot be registered as a trademark, no matter how well crafted, cannot win the Contest.
The logo must contain the spirit of the Penang Science Council (where the PSC aims to promote science). Please see below for information on graphic formats.
The logo may or may not contain the words “Penang Science Council” depending on designer.
The limit on attachment sizes for our email is 5Mb. If your submission exceeds this size, even after compression, please send the images individually and note clearly in your emails that you are doing so.

The Penang Science Council’s (PSC) vision  is to establish Penang as a scientific center of excellence. This vision can only succeed by creating interest amongst the young in the rules and norms of science and technology that is vital for the development of a dynamic and innovative society. PSC aims to inspire the young to adopt a career in science and technology as well as cultivate innovative and dynamic thought in these subject matters. 5 key pillars have been highlighted by the Penang Science Council and they are:

1. Sustainable Education and Learning – to rekindle interest in science and technology amongst the young and students through talks by renowned successful entrepreneurs, competitions, quizzes and exhibitions in Penang;
2. Mentoring the young scientifice entrepreneur by providing a platform of guidance, opportunity and funding through seed money to commercialize their ideas and inventions.
3. Nurturing– Establishing a   Science Tech center to showcase Penang’s rich history of success in inventions and innovations in its 35 years of industrialization to spur new inventions.
4. Innovation and Research – to continue Penang’s competitive advantage of human talents who have a proven track record as an outsourcing centre, sophisticated supply chain network and research and innovation facilities which includes funding to encourage creative ideas and new inventions
5. Life sciences & Medical Health – nurturing the young to be interested in the field of life sciences and to know more about “sunrise” industries in Penang.

The PSC will be industry-driven with minimal intervention from the state government. As industry is well-placed to see the market and global trends, they are much more visible and focused in addressing changing trends in technology and market demand. By letting industry decide what is best to increase the knowledge pool in science and technology as well as enlarge manpower requirements, the PSC can ensure that resources are matched with needs.

The Penang state government is pleased that the key players in the Electrical and Electronics industry, health and bio-tech industry have responded enthusiastically to the form and substance of the proposed PSC. All industry players have agreed to helm the 5 pillars mentioned.

为了让大家能了解如何心想事成， 我用两个学长做例子！

在三年前的一次回新山，我就看到新山补习班 的发展迅速，已经超越吉隆坡与槟城，开始企业化，有的发展到有学院了。那一天跟个叫颂颖的宽中学姐在一起，她就提起了‘硕士补习班’是新山发展到最快最有规模的一家！由于我有意投入教育业，但我的是着重在 电脑教学。 那我就记得跟颂颖说，看能不能找人介绍认识！

说了不到一年，‘硕士补习班’的老板就自动出现在我面前，出现在槟城的青创会讲座上，而且是新山青创会会长，还是宽中校友呢！ 虽然我的教育事业还没有拓展到新山，但在从事我的‘电脑天才班’上，硕士补习班’的老板，也就是我们宽中其中一位杰出的校友，玮德先生给与我许多建议和独门秘方，帮助我一飞冲天！

另一个案例是Marrybrown的老板.记得小时候， 我住在哥打丁宜，每次放学后就会走路到爸爸工作的地方等他，而如果是在下午，他就会带我和妹妹到对面的Marrybrown去吃Spring Chicken,可惜现在的Marrybrown没有了！ 而我就在吃Marrybrown 的Spring Chicken下长大的！

而像前一个案例，由于始常穿梭机场，每次到新山又会看到Marrybrown唤起我童年回忆，刚好有一次一个宽中同学送我到机场时，就提起Marrybrown的老板好像是新山人，而且生意在沙地阿拉伯非常火红，做的非常的好！ 那时我有个想法就是想认识这位传说中的前辈, 跟他请教他如何在外国做得比在马来西亚还要好！

结果‘Marrybrown’的老板又非常神奇的自动出现在我面前，出现在四年前槟城的青创会讲座上，前后我听了‘Marrybrown的老板’四次讲座，虽然几次下来发现内容只有些许改变，但我还是每次报道取经。 就在今年的讲座会，刚好我被安排负责招待讲师，就负责载送我们的‘Marrybrown的老板’。 在交流下，就如我之前所说， 每次遇到新山人我都会说我是宽中生，结果就才发现到‘Marrybrown的老板’ 居然是宽中学长。 而学长又帮我圆了另一个梦，回到母校跟学弟妹分享我的经验！ 由于已在各大专院校演讲， 我一直很想回宽中演讲，但不好意思自告奋勇， 不顾面子不请自去嘛！等一下人家讲不要脸呀！在送走廖学长后的几天，学长突然打电话来，校友会邀请我们回学校演讲时，那真是喜出望外！ 这真是心想事成！

虽然我已经在各个大学演讲，但这感觉有点衣锦还乡的感觉！

以上的案例纯粹是在解释我想见人与做事情时如何心想事成，但还有许多案例是心愿上，事业上，人生上的！

一切都因为我相信因果，‘SECRETS’ 这本书中说的是 ‘心想事成’宇宙会回应你心中的意念。 由于我一路上的贵人相助 （参考日志 ‘感谢许子根博士与槟州政府’），又能在遇到困难与阻碍，化险为夷。 我对意念就特别下了些研究，再举一个例子是，每次我找车位都会有车子开出而很容易泊车。

在细心研究下，就如‘SECRETS’ 这本书中说的是 ‘心想事成’宇宙会回应你心中的意念,我所经过的人生全部都是如此！但在更深入研究下，发现到不是每个人都心想事成，只有非常少才心想事成，如果不是如此那就有很多人每天想我要中彩票，然后我们就有很多百万富翁了！最后我发现到藏教和佛教的说法最能解释‘心想事成’！ 那是因为藏教的说法是人要做善事才能在‘波罗蜜’储存善德， 一共有七个‘波罗蜜’，当你希望达到某个愿望时， 上天就会看你的‘银行存款’= ‘波罗蜜’够不够， 然后再看储存善德的善德能实现多少巴仙的愿望。如果存够够的人就能如愿以偿啦！存一半的可能不能买到‘宝马跑车’但买到‘honda accord’ 。

而佛教的说法也是如此，就是积善因得善果！原理如上！

我想可能是爸妈或祖先积德吧，而我们自己也要如此，才能化险为夷，美梦成真！

看了以上文章，让我告诉你‘分享’或‘演说’是其中一个‘波罗蜜’！所以我到处分享’‘演说’就是如此，而宽频是个好平台，写日志也是一种‘分享’！

A mentor told me that if ‘Jeffrey’ you pull all your effort contributing to the community back to business, you would be as successful as i am very soon as well as other seniors in the industry. I am grateful that i could ’survive’ well and feel that life is great and contributing of half my time is worth it for the sake of the future for Malaysia.

A little effort for future technopreneurs, a MOU signing with Cradle which allow SCoPe to endorse for technopreneurs with innovative ideas in northern region of Malaysia.

Coming up is outsourcing hub for Penang in collaboration with PSDC and investpenang.

Down the road June we will have ICTEXPO Malaysia for students, public, professors, IT Managers, Technopreneurs and everyone from ICT industry!

In November 2010 we will have ICT competition for primary students, high school students as well as youth of Malaysia!
