Yesterday I lost a great friend, he is our ex SCoPe chairman Mr Yeap Kong Tai. He left us at around 5pm afternoon.
It was a shocked as I always thought it’s minor illness. Right on our AGM I called him and asked whether he could attend our AGM. He didn’t pick up phone call but his wife called back and told me that he couldn’t speak and told me that he wishes all the best to the new committee!
I remember going to Vietnam’s ‘Vietnam Comm 2007’ with him where we wake up at around 2am and went to airport at 3am to checkin for our flight which was 6am.
He always encourage us that we should walk out of Malaysia to the world, and that we should unite together and go further.
1 of the initiative that he wanted to build was a training and enhancement program for all scope members and local software company. Today I am pride to say that we have successfully implemented our training program and most of the credit goes to KT.
As a tribute to Kong Tai’s effort, I would like to name the coming to be training facility after his name. Hope that everyone would agree on this.
Today I lost a great friend, a great mentor and our country lost a great man that helped paved the ways for software and technology.
